What a living profile is

A living profile is not an article written once. It is a record of facts, each attached to the source it came from and the moment we observed it. When a fact changes, the old value stays in the timeline and a new entry is added — nothing is silently overwritten.

Where the data comes from

• Official product pages, changelogs, newsrooms and support documents
• Official stores and listed retail channels for price and availability
• App stores and code repositories for software activity
• Public certification databases for regulatory filings
• Official video channels for launch and firmware announcements

Every source is stored with a trust tier and a check frequency. Official first-party sources outrank reporting, which outranks community discussion.

What confidence means

Each fact carries a confidence score between 0 and 1. A change is published automatically only when it comes from a first- or second-tier source, scores at least 0.90, and no other source contradicts it. Price anomalies, discontinuations and service shutdowns always go to a human before publication.

What we do not publish as fact

Sales numbers, shipment volumes, daily or monthly active users, connected-device counts, usage time, crash rates and retention are not publicly verifiable for this category. We do not present them as facts. Where a third-party estimate is worth showing, it is labelled as an estimate with its source.

Corrections

If a fact is wrong, report it from the product page. Corrections are reviewed against the original source and the timeline records the fix rather than hiding it.
